King — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 16 July 2026
King runs entirely on your device. There's no account, no server, and nothing is ever uploaded — your training profile, plan, and logged sessions stay in your browser's local storage, full stop. You can export a copy of your own data at any time as a plain file that only you have.
What information King handles
King is a strength-training app for men 35+, built around a structured, adaptive training plan. To build and run your plan, it handles:
- Your profile — a display name and birth year, if you set them up.
- Your training setup — goals, training mix, preferred methods, and unit preferences.
- Your training plan and history — the plan itself, every logged set and session, check-ins, and progress over time.
- Injury/limitation notes, if you enter them — used only to adjust what King recommends (for example, substituting an exercise around a niggle). This is self-reported information you choose to enter; King doesn't diagnose or interpret it medically.
- App preferences — theme and similar settings.
On-device processing — nothing is uploaded
Everything above is stored only in your browser's local storage on your device. King has no server, makes no network calls to send or receive your data, and doesn't use any analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting service. We don't know who's using King or what anyone has logged — there's simply nowhere for that information to go.
King includes a built-in "export my data" option that saves a plain JSON file to your device with everything you've logged. That file is for you — it's never uploaded anywhere by the app; what you do with it afterwards (keep it, delete it, back it up yourself) is entirely up to you.
Permissions and why
King doesn't request camera, photo library, or location access — it doesn't need them for anything the app does.
Purchases & subscriptions
King doesn't currently have any purchases, subscriptions, or paid tiers — the app is free to use as-is. If that changes in the future, purchases would go through Apple's App Store / StoreKit, and this policy would be updated before that happens to explain exactly what changes.
No accounts, no backend
There's no sign-up, login, or SpikeTech account of any kind. King doesn't know who you are beyond what you optionally type into your own profile, and there is no server-side copy of your data anywhere — only what's stored in your own browser.
Children
King is a strength-training tool designed for adult men 35 and older, and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If King's data practices change (for example, if a future version adds an account, cloud sync, or purchases), we'll update this page and its effective date before that change ships.
